John Boone

ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

John Boone brings empathy and understanding to every aspect of his practice. John understands that each situation deserves a personalized legal approach. He believes strongly exploring alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation, informal negotiations or simply engaging in creative approaches to lessen the possibility of court intervention. While friendly negotiations are encouraged, some legal issues require the Court’s attention. In those situations, you will find John in the courtroom vigorously and passionately defending his clients’ interest.

John recognizes that preparation is a huge factor behind any success, and he works tirelessly to attain the results that render the best positive outcome for his clients. Family law matters are often the most trying and painful experiences that a person may experience. All individuals facing family law challenges deserve an advocate who will listen, assess the situation, provide options, advise on the best legal path and, when needed, fight the necessary fight. John is such an advocate.

John grew up in a small town in southeast Washington state and attended Western Washington University where he earned degrees in journalism and political science. Post-graduation John spent a bit of time traveling then attended law school at the University of Washington in Seattle. After graduating law school, John and his girlfriend decided to move to Austin, in large part to escape the dreary Seattle weather. When he takes off his lawyer hat, John can be found exploring the great outdoors with his two dogs, Beau and Arrow. John is also a history buff and bibliophile (we’ll save you the Google search – he collects books!). As a transplant to the Austin area, he has already fallen in love with the incredibly vibrant Austin community and enjoys supporting local businesses and community events.

FUN FACT: John will do anything to make his fiancé smile, including activities outside his comfort zone! Most recently this included ice skating lessons. John, not the most physically coordinated person at the best of times, was pretty apprehensive about strapping razor blades onto his feet and then sliding around on rock hard ice. But the lessons were a success and John can now move forward and backwards on the ice, more or less under his own control. Just don’t ask him to do any tricks or jumps, that’s an icy leap too far.
